To any of you cool, talented, excellent shiny people who suggested that I do anything other than find my simple little soul, a pox on you. No plenary indulgence for you, either, unless you drop all of the solutions, answers, insights or novenas that count for anything.
I suppose it would help if I didn’t blame all of this on you. If I started out with some self-respect, some baseline of love that would make me strong enough to notice the nonsense. But I did not and wasted an inordinate amount of time listening to you.
I no longer read any more 10 ways to (fill in the blank) books or magazines. And I am not embarrassed to admit that I read a lot of them, but as long as we are here, what is the best 5 letter word to improve my Wordle performance?
Sitting in the airport with a KN95 mask on, waiting for my hours-delayed plane to arrive, I am just one of the many very fortunate ones to be here hoping for the opportunity to take flight. All of us here together waiting. All of us yearning to come home to ourselves.

ReplyDeleteDaniel, I just wanted to let you know that I'm planning to make ALL my submissions during this 40Days about the fictional characters Edwina and Orville Campion. The first one (on the 22nd) called "Discovery," was about Orville's secret vasectomy. Just wanted to let you know that a novel (of sorts) is in progress, as far as my writings here go. (I'm always dismayed at how conventional my characters are, but then, I'm from the New Jersey suburbs originally, and almost always strove for some semblance of "normalcy." That's not possible for anyone, really.)
