Circle of Life

The season of grief continues. After my morning walk and before yoga, I made an appointment for my beloved cat to be put to sleep tomorrow morning. All day I have been gently stroking her and telling what a good pet she has been. She is eating boneless skinless canned salmon as her final treat. I know it is time as the spot above her eye has gotten larger and messier. When I talked to my vet last month, he said there was nothing that could be done about the cancer so close to her eye. Plus at 19 years and 9 months she has lived a great life. I will miss her so much; it is time to say good bye and weep.

  1. Heart sad with this story. I'll keep you in my thoughts - you and cat.

  2. So concise a description of a small but feelingful tragedy. So sad. Yes, that IS a good long life for a cat. The cat will be at peace, and you will be the one suffering feelingfully. My sympathy to you. (Macoff)

  3. I've been thinking a lot about the circle of life lately, so I thank you for your title. And for your faithful care and loving of a companion of many a year. Condolences.
