Dust in the Wind

The big fight is, of course, about distribution of assets. My sister has been to many reunions with high school friends and they have all told her that when their parents divided their estates unequally, it caused problems among the siblings. Sister has begged our mother to leave everything to us 50/50. Mom has decided to leave 100% to my sister and 0 to me. However, she wants me to handle all the financial details after her death. She’s leaving the home in Carlsbad to my sister so she will have a place to live. However, sister can’t pay the property taxes and utilities on the house with her income. This should be interesting to sort out after Mom is six feet under.

  2. Maybe someone with more sense can and will move into the house with your sister? But she probably doesn't have friendships that would allow that. Golly. "Trials and tribulations of KathyV." (from Macoff)
