I have an acquaintance in NC that I’ve known for about ten years. During the pandemic, he started working out and eating healthier. He’s gone from a twenty five year old who looks forty to a thirty five year old who looks twenty nine. About six years ago he got married to his long time girlfriend that I have met a few times, but never had a real conversation with. Apparently they have struggled with infertility and are pursuing adoption. I am friends with both of them on instagram and sent a donation to their adoption fund. It irks the snot out of me all the anti-choice memes she posts. The four baseball seasons I spent in The Triangle exposed me to a much different view of Christianity. At a restaurant we were seated near a couple who were newly dating. When their food arrived, they held hands and said grace. I’ve never seen that in SoCal. Anyway, I am against criminalizing abortion and will continue to support causes for reproductive freedom. I also won’t waste any energy thinking her mind could be changed.
