I have pages of notes in my iPhone and absolutely everything goes on my calendar. Trader Joe’s plus list of what to buy there. Chiropractor appointment with the address. Whenever I make another appointment I put it in my phone calendar and show it to the provider to verify it’s correct. I have always had a great sense of direction with a Thomas Guide in my brain. Now I often sit in my car wondering how to get from yoga to Costco. Maybe I depend too much on Google maps and the giant screen in LilRed. I feel like my sense of direction is declining and that definitely bothers me. It used to be so easy to think of all the ways to drive somewhere and which I liked best. I’ve already been through cognitive decline and dementia with my mother-in-law and my father. I know it’s not a smooth slope, but compensate compensate then drop like a staircase. Is having all those reminders in my phone a way to compensate?

I think it's GREAT to have reminders and pages in your phone! You are making good use of your high-tech resources! (Macoff)
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention... You quoted Bob Dylan for your title! I LOVE THAT.
